We only committed to the "beach house" for 2 months. We were not sure about all the outdoor living. One of the big draw backs to staying in this house all year is the lack of comfortable seating. The problem is how do you move off the beach even if it means having a much nicer home. We decided that we would stay here if we could create a comfortable living space. Over the last 2 weeks we have been looking at couches when we go to the larger town of Nicoya. It seems that every store has the same 6 or 7 options. Most of them are extremely uncomfortable with a latin flare, not to mention expensive. We have been looking at a very simple model, basically a pleather futon. Well today was the big day. After a bit of negotiations we loaded the "sofa cama"on top of the trusty Galloper and headed back to Sámara.
The kids were so excited and my wife is very happy. We did some re arranging and now the wife is in full "nesting" mode.
Next on the list is to create a space for Genevieve to call her own. I am going to build her a desk and we are going to hang a curtain in the corner of the room to give the illusion of her own spot while sharing with her crazy brothers.
Pictures to come...
