Where do I begin ? It has been over 1.5 months since my last post. I will just hit some of the highlights.
After dropping my dad and Robbie off at the airport we picked up Bev on the next incoming flight. Bev is a family friend who Amy worked with while at Cornerstone many moons ago
10 days later Genevieve, myself and Bev all left CR and headed back to the states. Genevieve went to Outdoor Ed, finished the school year with her classmates and had more sleepovers then you could imagine. I worked all but 3 days during our 3 week stay. Genevieve and I shared many meals with family and friends.
Our return flight out of SFO was cancelled. Genevieve and I ended up in a 1 star hotel in San Mateo.
The next day we got out of SFO and arrived in CR that evening despite almost missing our connecting flight in Houston
It was great to be back in CR. It took me a few days to get back into "slow" mode.
The following week we celebrated Genevieve's 11th Birthday and Zeke's 6 th Birthday."G" had a party with her friends in CA so we just had a few kids over for cupcakes after school and went out to dinner. Zeke also just had a few friends over after school for cup cakes.
Zeke chose a family day at an amusement park in San Jose last weekend for his celebration. We had a great time at the park complete with impressive roller coasters and water rides. Amy was so excited to visit the Super Wal Mart and PriceSmart (Costco) while in San Jose. She actually did not buy that much stuff but she walked every isle and took a mental inventory of what was available.
This week has been back to our "normal" lives. Kids went to school, and I surfed most days. Life could be worse....
We are looking forward o my Mom and Danny arriving on Wednesday.
